You hassle me about magic, and then refuse to take any of the magic perks?" said the being, staring at the final choices I was giving them.
"Um, please look over there?" I said, pointing to balls upon balls of paper where I'd tried to figure out a build that would give me all the magic and general survival stuff I wanted. "I tried, being. Whatever your name is!"
"Zaeithon," said Zaeithon, like that was a real fucking name that you were legally allowed to give you children.
"I'm going to keep calling you being, because that's a bad name," I told Zaeithon.
"Rude," they replied. "Well, I suppose that this does make sense. And you will be going to Zendikar after this."
"That's right," I said. "Anyway, um, Cadis, Jiro, Sasha, my build's final, so you guys can figure out what you're going to do with yours. Can you-"
"No, you don't get to interfere with that?" said Zaeithon. "Come on, I need to get you ready for your jump."
They touched my hand and I was in blackness.

Two interesting things about this world!
I still had two brothers, since Sasha had decided to go Human-Kryptonian hybrid too, and there was Connor, brother number three. But wow, he was a lot worse than Jiro. Yeah, he grew on me, like a mold, but… yeesh.
I mean, I did agree with him that both of our dads were really bad parents. And that was the second thing! Two dads again! I felt like the universe was just forbidding me from having a mom. It was illegal.
Anyways, I felt kind of… simultaneously overpowered and and yet underpowered for this world. It was sort of a weird feeling.
Like, yeah. With all my powers and knowledge of tech stuff, I was a pretty useful member of The Team. I guess the tech stuff came from Luthor-Dad, one of the few things I got from him instead of Kal-Dad. Yeah, and that was what I called them. Mostly just to annoy them, to be honest.
And yeah, especially when Kal-Dad started going on about us being more like his siblings than his kids… whatever. You're half of my DNA, you're my dad. Yeah, I was being kind of hypocritical because I didn't consider my Aunt Daniys, who was my bio-mom back in my original world, my actual mom, but I'm allowed to be hypocritical.
The other major thing I guess I remember about that world was how my brothers and Cadis reacted to it. I knew they were going to take the Drop-Out option, but I think we all underestimated how much it would affect them. Sasha instantly identified as my brother, and was the quickest to accept that the "dream" he'd had about our original world was actually something that happened. But Jiro and Cadis were much slower to accept this.
Cadis and Jiro were still dating at the start of the jump, despite being 16 and 15 respectively, so at least I didn't have to deal with them getting upset about that. They were just a magic and tech duo of vigilantes who did pretty badly on their own and accepted an offer to join The Team a little after Artemis did.
It hurt to not have Jiro recognize me as his brother. It hurt in a different way than rejection from my "parents" did in this world. Jiro and I had actual history! We had once had that sort of relationship with one another!
Like, we became friends easily, as did Cadis and I, because I think we're just fundamentally the sort of people who get along. And once the two of them accepted the reality of our first world a few years into the jump, it was almost like nothing had happened. But…
Well. I wasn't really ready for the changes that the second jump would bring. Which was why I had a big priority when picking the first few selections from the Supplement Modifier.

Supplement Modifier

1000 CP
My Family [700 CP]
Deluxe Bedroom [500 CP]
Deluxe Bathroom [300 CP]
ForceWall [100 CP]
Plumbing [000 CP]

"Those are your choices?" asked Zaeithon.
"I'm not going without these two losers as my brothers again- make them adopted in my backstory if you gotta- and I will literally die if I have to share a bathroom with any of them again."
I shrugged. "It's probably not optimal, but whatever. Anyway, I think we said we were going to Zendikar?"
"Yup," they replied.
"Okay, I think you all did good with perks last jump," I said, turning around to my brothers and brother in law. Yeah, Jiro and Cadis got hitched that jump, I could finally refer to them all collectively as family! "It seemed like you all got Incomprehensible, and-"
"We all got Toggle and Drain No too, yes," replied Cadis.
"Good job!" I told them, giving them a thumbs up. "Um, I guess buy lands this time?"
Cadis rolled his eyes. "I've played Magic the Gathering, Sevvie. I know how to play it."
"I'm buying the Waterfront School so I can copy all my books," said Jiro, like he thought we'd forgotten his desire for it. "Maybe we could coordinate special land buying?"
"Yeah, let's do that," I told them.

2026 Retrospective:
This chain does not have long bits where Sevvie explains her purchases to the audience. I will however take a moment and look at her picks.
Despite wanting magic, Sevvie goes as a Human-Kryptonian Hybrid for the immediate survivability. However, she can also fly and shapeshift. She’s also immortal, immune to normal disease, immune to mind control, immune to power drain, and can “toggle” her powers on and off.
…she’s also a supergenius.

Maddox: Jumpers being ridiculous? I’m surprised… shocked… horrified…

Jiro becomes a powerful Order Mage, something that I’m surprised never comes up again. Sasha becomes a hybrid like Sevvie, but picks up flying, immortality, being a solar battery, super-touch and taste. Finally, Cadis becomes a genius like Sevvie and a master of combat. All of them get Sevvie’s anti power-drain, toggle, and anti-mind control powers, too.
Really, these could be enough powers to sustain an entire multiversal adventure, but they’re just the start of Sevvie’s collection of bullshit.
The entire story of Sevvie being in Young Justice is only a few paragraphs long. Most of the story was about Sevvie’s feelings about Jiro not identifying as her brother anymore due to the Drop Out drawback, and her feelings about Kal-El not identifying as her father.
I like how Sevvie doesn’t fix everything in Young Justice, like you might expect from an OP protagonist. She doesn’t go on about how she’s fixed every issue on the show - in fact, she probably made things worse at some points. But we don’t learn about any of that. We get a few lines about Sevvie being a “pretty useful member of The Team” and then that’s it!
Sevvie uses the Supplement Modifier, a supplement that would later be superceded by the Personal Reality, to make her brothers her brothers in future jumps, regardless of their in-jump origin. It shows from an early stage that Sevvie’s priority is her family.
